Accept your offer
If you have not done so already, you will first need to accept your offer. Only local applicants may accept their offer online (Australian and New Zealand citizens, and Australian Permanent Residents). All other international applicants must follow all acceptance instructions included with their letter of offer.
Your acceptance must be recorded online via the University's Student Information System (SIS) prior to the lapse date indicated on your letter of offer.
You may log in to your new acount with your Student ID number (this is the 'application ID number' on your letter of offer) and your 4 digit PIN by accessing the following site and following the directions provided: http://sis.unimelb.edu.au/enrol
Your 4 digit PIN is your date of birth in DDMM format (Eg: 31 March 1982 = 3103). The first time you log in you will be prompted to change your PIN.
Attend the Melbourne GSM Orientation Day
All new students are requested to attend the Melbourne GSM Orientation Day and collect an enrolment pack before proceeding with online enrolment.

Set up your University email account
After accepting your offer and attending Orientation Day, you will be required to set up your University e-mail account before you can continue with the online enrolment process:
- Go to https://accounts.unimelb.edu.au/manage/login/student
- Enter your personal details as requested.
- Select 'Student Mail' to create your email account. Do not select 'Themisprod' - this is for research/PhD students only.
- Create your password. Your password must be exactly 8 characters, and contain letters and numbers.
- Write down your username and your new password in a secure location and log out.
Please note: You will need to wait 24 hours after accepting your offer online before being able to set up your e-mail account. Your University email account is the University's primary method of contacting you. You must check your University email account frequently, or forward it to a personal email account that is checked at least once a week. 'I did not check my email' is NOT an acceptable excuse at graduate level study.
Read the Online Enrolment Instruction Sheet
In your enrolment pack you will find a New Student Information Guide, which has in it an Online Enrolment Instruction Sheet which you may need to refer to while completing your online enrolment. You may collect a copy at Orientation Day, or download a copy here:

You will not be able to commence the online enrolment process without this letter (local students read below).
Local students please note: You are eligible to complete your online enrolment from 26 October 2009 as the library barcode is included in your offer letter. If you would like to collect your student card on Orientation Day (Saturday 20 February), you must have completed your online enrolment by Friday 19 February 2010 and you must have identification with you (passport, driver’s license or Keypass card).

icon next to the name of your program and list your name, Student ID number and postal details.
Please note: We will not post enrolment packs to international students, or applicants with an international address.
Select your subjects
Some new students may automatically be enrolled in recommended subjects for their program (i.e.: as a full-time student), however the standard recommended study plan may not suit everyone (those who wish to enrol as a part-time student for example) and students may change subjects accordingly.
Using the Graduate Computer Lab for Online Enrolment
The Melbourne Graduate School of Management Computer Lab is available for new students to complete their online enrolment. The lab is located in Room 04.018, Level 4, 198 Berkeley Street and is open between 9:00am and 5:00pm weekdays: http://www.ecom.unimelb.edu.au/services/computing/facilities.html#agb
Please note that academic subject selection advice will not be available whilst in the computer labs.
Should you require general advice with your subject selection, you will need to book a study planning advice session with your program administrator. You may also request an appointment with your Academic Program Director for academic advice. Please see 'Study Planning Advice Appointments' for further information.

Collect your Student ID card
After you have completed online enrolment (Steps 1 through to 7) check that your enrolment status is 'confirmed' (this will only be the case if your subject selection has been approved by the Faculty and all fees have been paid). In most cases this will take 24 hours from the time you complete your online enrolment.
If your enrolment is 'confirmed' you can collect your student card by presenting your valid passport, drivers licence or Keypass card to the Melbourne GSM Student Centre (level 4, 198 Berkeley Street) which will be open and available to issue student cards from Monday 22 February between 9.00am – 6.00pm weekdays (5:00pm Fridays).
Local students who have completed their online enrolment prior to Friday 19 February 2010 will also have the option of collecting their student card on Orientation Day.
