Enrich your degree
A pathway to success after graduation
The activities organised by the Melbourne Graduate School of Management aim to enrich your university experience by supporting your learning, developing your skills and helping you to realise your potential as a leader and an active global citizen. Add value to your degree through a whole range of activities:
Global OpportunitiesĀ
The Melbourne Graduate School of Management offers students the opportunity to gain an international experience during their studies via a student exchange or the Global Business Practicum.
We offer student exchange opportunities with leading international business schools around the world. Whilst on exchange, students can earn credit towards their University of Melbourne degree, pay no additional tuition fees and also receive scholarships to help with the costs.
The Global Business Practicum is a new credit-based subject providing an in-country study experience. Students will experience culture, society and business practices at first hand whilst applying their business and management skills. 2009 destinations include Singapore, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
Leadership and Involvement
We encourage our students to be involved both on and off campus in leadership, community engagement and volunteering activities, locally and globally. Activities include:
- The Student Host Program
- Student Groups
- Creating Future Leaders Series (seminars from inspirational speakers from industry)
The Melbourne GSM Student Assocation
The Melbourne GSM Student Assocation is open to all Melbourne GSM students offering them the opportunity to participate in a range of exciting events, numerous networking opportunities and the chance to mingle with their peers throughout the semester. Getting involved is a great way for students to widen their circle of friends, develop their leadership skills, meet interesting people from around the world, have fun, and make the most of their time at the University. Membership is free.
Networking Events
During the year we organise a number of social events to help our students get to know each other and the staff. From Welcome Functions at the start of semester, to dedicated events for Part-Time students and ending with a celebratory Graduation Dinner upon completion of the course we want to ensure that our students are given plenty of opportunities to create important networks which will continue long after graduation.
