Scholarships
Each year the Faculty of Economics and Commerce offers a range of scholarships to assist graduate students enrolled at the Melbourne GSM. Many of these awards are targeted to international applicants from particular regions or nations.

Local applicants
AG Whitlam Scholarships
The A.G. Whitlam Scholarships are available through the generosity of the late Arthur Gordon Whitlam, and are funded from the A.G. Whitlam Trust. They are available to Australian citizens, Australian Permanent Residents or New Zealand citizens, and cover 50% fee remission for the duration of the course.
Commonwealth Supported Places
All streams of the Master of Management have a number of Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) available for local applicants (Australian and New Zealand citizens and holder of a permanent humanitarian visa). CSPs are offered on the basis of academic merit.
Eligibility and applications
All scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit, and separate application is not necessary. All eligible candidates offered a place in a masters program at the Melbourne Graduate School of Management will be considered.
Graduate Access Melbourne
To ensure that more students continue to enjoy access to our courses regardless of their cultural or socio-economic backgrounds, a number of Commonwealth supported places will be offered at graduate level through Graduate Access Melbourne.
You may be eligible to apply for entry into the Master of Management (Accounting) through the Graduate Access Melbourne program. In doing so, you will increase your opportunity for selection to a CSP, and you make yourself eligible to be considered for a Graduate Access Melbourne Bursary.

Graduate Access Melbourne Bursary
The Graduate Access Melbourne
Bursary is a one-off grant of
$5,000 designed to support
students in the meeting the costs
associated with graduate study.
All applicants eligible for Graduate
Access Melbourne will be
considered for a Graduate Access
Melbourne Bursary.
All local scholarships and
bursaries are awarded on the
basis of academic merit, and
separate application is not
necessary. All eligible candidates
who apply by Admission
Round 3* will be automatically
considered.
International applicants
All international scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and separate application is not necessary. All eligible candidates who apply by Admission Round 1* will be automatically considered. Candidates who apply after Admission Round 1* will be eligible for remaining unallocated awards only.
AG Whitlam Graduate Scholarships
The AG Whitlam Graduate Scholarships are available through the generosity of the late Arthur Gordon Whitlam, and are funded from the AG Whitlam Trust. Available to commencing international Master’s coursework students, they cover 50% fee remission for the duration of the course.
Graduate Merit Scholarships
Awarded annually to international students commencing study in a Master’s by coursework program, the Graduate Merit Scholarships cover 50% fee remission for the duration of the course.
International Postgraduate Coursework Awards
Available each year to commencing Master’s coursework applicants, the International Postgraduate Coursework Awards cover 25% fee remission for the duration of the course.
